  TANG Zhenghong received his Bachelor of Astronomy from Department of Astronomy of Nanjing University in 1991 and his Ph.D. in Astronomy from SHAO in 2001. He was a postdoctor in Torino Astronomical Obseravtory from 2002 to 2003 and Department of Astronomy of Yale Univ. from 2004 to 2005 respectively. His main research areas include fundamental Astrometry, CCD image reduction and reference systems as well as application of astrometry. He has been PIs of many projects, such as Key Project of Special Foundation for fundamental science and technology (Ministry of Science and Technology of China), Key Project of International Collaboration (Chinese Academy of Sciences), Normal project of NSFC, Astrometric Supporting System for LAMOST and so on. He has supervised several PhD and Master-degree students in the past 10 years. Now he is the Director of Laboratory of Technologies for Optical Astronomy and a Researcher of Astrometry Group.
