1977年12月出生于湖南凤凰。1999年7月在武汉测绘科技大学获工程测量学士学位。2004年7月在中国科学院上海天文台获天体测量博士学位。2007年1月至2014年3月先后在南京大学天文系以及德国马普射电天文研究所从事博士后研究工作。2014年4月起为上海天文台研究员。

　　主要从事甚长基线干涉测量（VLBI）技术在天体测量方面的应用研究。现阶段的主要研究工作包括（1）极亮红超巨星的大小，距离和自行以及星周运动学的精确测定；（2）利用三角视差测量校准米拉变星红外周光关系的零点（3）通过测量大质量恒星形成区脉泽的视差和自行研究银河系的结构和运动学。
